First Lady Shelley Hudson's Biography

Lady Shelley A. Hudson is the first lady of Matthews Memorial Baptist Church. She currently serves as Executive Administrator of the Matthews Memorial Child Development Center, which is nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Lady Shelley previously worked for 8 years as Branch Manager/Vice President for TD Waterhouse, an investment brokerage firm, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Prior to Lady Shelley's departure from TD Waterhouse, she led the Philadelphia branch into being the 5th top producing branch in TD Waterhouse for the year ending 2005.

Lady Shelley has always felt a calling to uplift women where ever they may find themselves in life, and because of this, she helped to organize two ministries seeking to meet the needs of various women of the church and community, Sisters of Hope and the Recapturing the Love within Couples Ministries. To further prepare herself to meet these pressing needs within our faith community and culture, she is also currently enrolled in a Masters Degree program in Community Counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family at Marymount University. Lady Shelley holds a baccalaureate degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Lady Shelley is married to Bishop C. Matthew Hudson, Jr., Senior Pastor of the Matthews Memorial Baptist Church and Founding Bishop of the Kingdom Building Disciples Global Missionary Ministry. They have been blessed with three wonderful children, Charles III, Amber Grace, and Faith Jordan.
